The Brothers Comatose Indio reviews
John Mellencamp Had A Good Time Too
"The determination of The Brothers Comatose as an artist was wonderful. Their showmanship, their opening act, and their selection of songs worked well together. This was a near capacity crowd.
With Carlene Carter taking center stage, mostly solo with her guitar, Mellencamp's new Plain Spoken album cover draped in the set background. For 30 minutes, she sang a variety of slower songs accompanied by more upbeat country songs. After finishing to a warm applause, there was about a half-hour break before The Brothers Comatose performed. The first three quarters of their song set, they performed as if they truly enjoyed themselves and the songs they sung. They even changed the studio recorded sound of some songs to bluesy, almost unrecognizable. The last quarter of their performance (recognizable radio, crowd-pleaser songs) had energy and much passion. The Brothers Comatose were on stage for one hour and 45 minutes."
